We spent good month of travelling, starting with a very relaxing week in Bali, followed by an exciting Road-Trip from Darwin to Sydney, before settling down in our little Bronte apartment for the remainder of August. Walking Parts of the Bondi to Manly Coast Walk...
It was so exciting to see all the changes after 5, or even 10 years as I didn't manage to walk that much on our last visit.
I realised, that there are even signs now for the beautiful Coast- and Harbour Walk from Bondi to Manly... and sure thing that I started walking it. But of course already from Bronte, where I live.
Bronte to Rose Bay (24 k) | Walking Notes... |
Rose Bay to Circular Quay (14 k) | This first part I started really early. When I left the house it was still dark, only a bit of red was to be seen above Bronte... At 5.45 am I arrived down at the beach and was amazed how many people would even excercise before 6 already... This first section took me roughly 8 hours to accomplish. Of course the stunning views and all the foto opportunities would take quite a lot of my time - but it was for sure worth it. A little swim on a south head beach and a lunch break are included in that as well. Pretty Beaches, Save cliff walks, Amazing views ... FOR PICTURES VISIT HERE ... The second part of the coast walk would showcast beautiful little harbour beaches, bays with plenty of sailing boats, cafeterias and busy playgrounds... and well of course unaffordable houses and mansions - probably because there are these unbelievable city views... Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, lovely foreshore, ferries,... Wow. I was not only blown away by the views - but also by the houses I passed in the areas of Point Piper, Vaucluse, Potts Point... |
